Description:

Chrysin is plae yellow powder (crystallized from methanol). The soluble alkali hydroxide solution, Chrysin slightly soluble in ehter, ethanol, and chloroform, insoluble in water. Chrysin is extracted from bignoniaceae plants, such as the seeds and bark of Oroxylum indicum (L.) Vent, Pinus mon-ticola Dougl. Paristata Engelm. Chrysin has toxic effects on certain cancer cells.
